Rankings: CIF-SS Polls for Week of Feb. 6
Capistran Valley remains atop the Division 1A boys' basketball rankings, but there's plenty of local company.

The rankings this week are important because it's the last week of the regular season. If teams can just win out, they will likely be seeded into next week's Southern Section playoffs in their ranked position within the bracket, though some other rules will preclude that from happening straight up.
The South Coast League and Division 1A rankings could get a shakeup—Mission Viejo must play El Toro and Capistrano Valley to close the season. That is a tall order and could have huge playoff ramifications.
Boys' basketball: Capistrano Valley, Mission Viejo and El Toro are 1-2-4 in Division 1A. Mission Viejo plays both this week. Santa Magarita and Corona del Mar are 4-5 in Division 3A.
Girls' basketball: El Toro is No. 2 in Division 1A. Laguna Hills is No. 4 in Division 3AA. St. Margaret's is No. 5 in Division 5AA.
Boys' soccer: San Clemente is No. 2 in Division 1; Aliso Niguel and Santa Margarita are 8-10.
Girls' soccer: Aliso Niguel, Corona del Mar, San Clemente and Dana Hills are ranked 1-2-3-4 in Division 1; Mission Viejo dropped out after being No. 6 a week ago. St. Margaret's is No. 3 in Division 6.
Girls' water polo: Corona del Mar, Newport Harbor and Laguna Beach are 1-2-3 in Division 1; Los Alamitos is No. 5. San Clemente is tied with Agoura at No. 3, and El Toro is No. 5, in Division 2. Dana Hills is No. 3 in Division 4.
