RSM To Ramp Up Street Sweeping After Complaints

City officials announced an increase in Rancho Santa Margarita's street cleaning services after residents complained of debris.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA β€” Rancho Santa Margarita officials are ramping up the city's street cleaning services after residents complained of debris in the streets.

The change comes after the city reduced its street cleanings from twice a month to once a month in April 2024 due to rising costs, according to a city staff report.

However, after residents voiced complaints about leaves and trash in the streets, city council members voted to raise the cleanings back to twice per month at last week's Jan. 8 meeting.
