Scam Alert: OC Fire Notifies Residents Of T-Shirt Scam

Orange County residents may have been receiving messages from someone claiming to be a part of the OC Fire Authority. Here's what to know.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Orange County residents were notified of a new scam by the Orange County Fire Authority Thursday afternoon.

According to an OCFA spokesperson, OCFA personnel, local 3631 members and members of the public have been receiving text messages about T-shirt purchases.

However, the text messages are not affiliated with the OC Fire Authority, reports said.
