Shooting In Anaheim: Suspect In Custody, Lockdowns Lifted
An officer-involved shooting occurred in Anaheim, near State College Blvd. & police are actively seeking a suspect. All lockdowns lifted.

ANAHEIM, CA — Anaheim Police officers have detained a suspect who is accused of assaulting an Anaheim Police Officer. That officer responded to the assault by opening fire, according to reports. Both the suspect and the officer are uninjured, according to an Anaheim Police Department spokesman.
The shooting occurred on North State College Boulevard and East La Palma has left Anaheim's Sycamore Junior High School on lockdown and police searching for a suspect, according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.
The shooting occurred just before 11:45 a.m.

The suspect fled into the neighborhood, prompting a warning for residents to shelter in place, and Sycamore Junior High School was placed on lockdown for the duration of the search. The search for the suspect included officers, both SWAT and K9s on the ground and helicopter overhead, Anaheim police reported.
As of 1:30 p.m. all shelter in place orders and school lockdowns were lifted. An investigation is ongoing into this incident, according to Wyatt.
