South OC Teen Ran Down, Stabbed By Group Of E-Bike Assailants, Family Says
The stabbing was reported late Wednesday evening near a park in Ladera Ranch, authorities said.

LADERA RANCH, CA — Orange County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a stabbing in Ladera Ranch late Wednesday evening that involved a 16-year-old boy and possibly six assailants.
The stabbing occurred Wednesday evening in the area of Eton Place and University Avenue, near Eton Park, in Ladera Ranch. Orange County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the area and found a teenage boy with injuries.
The teen, who was not identified by authorities, suffered a non-fatal stab wound to the back. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and has since returned home, reports said.

The teenager's mother told CBS News that her child "ran for his life" as six people with electric bikes chased after him.
"A young man came in and knocked on the garage door and asked for help and said he had been stabbed and he was bleeding and someone was chasing him." witness Denise Lachheb told CBS. "So we pulled him and closed down the house and called 911."

The victim told his mom that his attackers were wearing masks.
Authorities are still investigating the sequence of events that night, Orange County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Frank Gonzalez told Patch.
