Southbound 5 Freeway to Close Overnight

All lanes of the southbound I-5 freeway at Avenida Pico will close tonight, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Crews will be restriping the southbound lanes to accommodate construction of the bridge widening. Motorists will be detoured off the freeway at the southbound I-5 Avenida Pico off-ramp and back on at the Avenida Pico on-ramp.

The southbound I-5 on-ramp at Avenida Vista Hermosa also will be closed to accommodate the closure of southbound lanes at Avenida Pico.

Motorists should expect delays on the southbound I-5 freeway during the closure and allow extra time to reach their destinations.

DETOUR: From southbound I-5, exit Avenida Pico, continue through the intersection and re-enter southbound I-5 via the Avenida Pico on-ramp.
