Splash Pad Opening Day To Be Held In RSM This May
Splash Pad season is upon us, Rancho Santa Margarita, and here's how you can be a part of the opening day celebration.
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — The city's Splash Pad is preparing for its reopening, and residents were encouraged to be a part of the celebration at the annual Opening Day and Rec Expo on Saturday, May 18.
At the expo, residents will explore community classes, meet instructors, connect with local businesses, play games and much more.
According to the city, the Splash Pad at Central Park is a zero-depth water park with custom sprayers, bubblers, dumping buckets and misters. In addition to seating and shade canopies, amenities include a tempered shower and onsite restrooms.

The Splash Pad was funded by park fees and per capita grant funds through proposition 68, and no general fund tax dollars were used to complete the project, the city said.
The annual Opening Day and Rec Expo at the city's Splash Pad takes place Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central Park, 30842 La Mirada.
