Supply-Filled Backpacks Donated By 6 Points For Kids, OC Sheriff's Dpt
Orange County Sheriff's Department personnel gave some time and money to fill 100 backpacks with school supplies for children in need.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — On the eve of back to school, there are at least 100 children who will have a little extra thanks to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Personnel from the department's Six Points For Kids program volunteers were busy stuffing backpacks for those in need, a department spokesperson announced over social media.
Long tables were stacked high with notebooks and all manners of school supplies to help young people in need start the fall semester off right in the 2022/23 school year.

"OC Sheriff's Department personnel and deputies involved with the Six Points For Kids program stuffed over 100 backpacks full of school supplies," they wrote.

There's nothing quite like these uniformed officers filling pink and green leopard-spotted backpacks with crayons, glue, scissors, notebooks and other necessary school items.

All of the school supplies were donated by department members, as were the new backpacks.
Readers praised the department, thanking them for caring about the kids who really need the school items.

The backpacks will be handed out to students in need at local shelters across Orange County.
