Suspect Arrested Near RSM Walmart For Robbery

The robbery was reported at around 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — One suspect was arrested after he allegedly brandished a weapon and robbed a victim of their wallet near a Rancho Santa Margarita Walmart, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

Deputies were called to the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 30491 Avenida de las Flores on Sunday, July 30 at around 4:40 p.m. in reference to a robbery of a person.

According to the unidentified victim, the suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim's wallet before fleeing in a vehicle.

The suspect, who was not identified by police, was found after his vehicle was found unoccupied at a nearby apartment complex. He was positively identified and faces several robbery, drug and criminal threat charges.

According to authorities, the known suspect also has gang affiliations, was on probation, and had a GPS monitor
