Tuxedo Cat 'Pip' Gets New Shot At Life After Leg Amputation
The cat was brought in to the Dedicated Animal Welfare Group — commonly known as DAWG — in poor condition and with deep wounds.
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — A cat who was found out on the street with a serious injury has a new lease on life after he was adopted by the very same people who found him homeless and wounded on the street.
Now, Pip the tuxedo cat has found his forever home thanks in part to the donors behind the Dedicated Animal Welfare Group — commonly known as DAWG.
Pip was found on the street in south Orange County with a serious injury to his shoulder. Once he was taken in to the Mission Hills Pet Care Center, it became clear that Pip would need a full leg amputation if he was going to survive.

"It's difficult to fathom the amount of pain this poor kitty was in before he came to us," a DAWG spokesperson told Patch. "Thankfully, DAWG donors made it possible for Pip to get the surgery needed to save his life."
After a successful surgery, Pip is now on the road to recovery with his new forever family.
