Water Main Breaks, Closes Road In Mission Viejo Monday

Marguerite Parkway was closed Monday morning after a recycled water main broke, Santa Margarita Water District officials said.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — South Orange County residents, be aware: Marguerite Parkway was closed Monday morning after a recycled water main broke, Santa Margarita Water District officials said.

The closure affects Marguerite Parkway from Santa Margarita Parkway to Mustang Run. Residents can expect traffic delays for about three days while crews repair the line.

As of noon Monday, the City of Mission Viejo reported that the northbound lanes on Marguerite at Mustang Run remained closed.

The southbound lanes of Marguerite are currently open, along with Mustang Run's eastbound right turn lane to Marguerite, the city said.

There are currently no impacts to drinking water in the area, water district officials said.
