Where To Find Rancho Santa Margarita's Cheapest Gas

As gas prices climb up by the cent, Orange County residents are looking for the cheapest place to fill up in their area.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — The Orange County average price recorded its largest increase since March 19, rising 2.8 cents to $5.748, the second consecutive increase after a run of 24 decreases in 29 days totaling 31.8 cents.

The Orange County average price is 2.2 cents more than one week ago and $1.713 higher than one year ago but 28.1 cents less than one month ago.

As of Friday morning, the cheapest gas in Rancho Santa Margarita fell to $5.71 per gallon at the Circle K and Mobil station on 31521 Santa Margarita Pkwy., according to www.GasBuddy.com.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County recorded its largest increase since March 25 Friday, rising 2 cents to $5.798, the second consecutive increase following a run a 28 decreases in 30 days totaling 29.6 cents.

Los Angeles wholesale gasoline prices rose substantially this week, stopping the drop in pump prices, according to Doug Shupe, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.

The average price is 1.6 cents more than one week ago and $1.738 higher than one year ago but 27.1 cents less than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service
