Woman Dead, 2 Hurt In Rancho Santa Margarita Head-On Crash
Excessive speed may have contributed to a head-on collision that left a woman dead in Rancho Santa Margarita on Tuesday night.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — A woman died and two others were injured in a head-on collision between an SUV and a sedan in Rancho Santa Margarita on Tuesday night, authorities confirmed to Patch.
Officials believe the woman was driving at excessive speeds around 10:10 p.m. southbound near Tijeras Creek Road with a male passenger, Sgt. Scott Steinle said.
Her vehicle hit the center median and her left-front wheel locked in place, he said. The vehicle then went over the median into the northbound lane and crashed into another vehicle head-on.

The male driver of the second vehicle was injured as well as the male passenger of the woman's vehicle, Steinle said.
She was identified as Natalia Vaca Guevara, 27.

Authorities could not confirm the identities or ages of the two injured passengers. Their conditions were also not released.
