RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Eat, drink and be scary! Rancho Santa Margarita is the ideal place for ghoulish treats, not tricks. Residents are lining up to try the latest in creepy flavors from Starbucks to area doughnut shops, getting into the holiday spirit for sweet eats.

Rancho Santa Margarita's Starbucks is offering the newest flavor in the chain coffee giant's Halloween themed beverage department. The purple-gooey Zombie Frappuccino is available through Halloween.

"The Zombie Frappuccino blended beverage is available beginning October 26, until October 31, or while supplies last," a spokesperson from the RSM Starbucks said.

The blended beverage is a ghastly green body created with Frappuccino Crème infused with flavors of tart apple and caramel and topped with a red mocha drizzle and pink whipped cream “brains."

This decadent spooky drink joins the bevvy of seasonal treats that began in 2014 with the Franken Frappuccino, followed by the Frappula Frappuccino of 2015 and 2016. If you are looking for the supreme Starbucks Halloween experience, pair with the Mummy Cake Pop--a creation of vanilla birthday cake dressed up in mummy frosting wrappings, and listen to the Starbucks Halloween Party Playlist on Spotify.
