Quake Shakes Inland Empire: Did You Feel It?

An aftershock followed less than a minute later.

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA — An earthquake shook the Inland Empire on Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The 3.4-magnitude quake struck around 8:48 p.m. about 2.5 miles southeast of Loma Linda, the survey reported, noting the quake had a depth of 10 miles. It was followed less than a minute later by a 2.7-magnitude aftershock in the same area with a depth of 9.5 miles.

The quake was felt across the region, including as far as Lake Elsinore, Menifee and Riverside, according to responses submitted to the survey.
