Redlands warehouse ban delayed over existing facilities (communityforwardredlands.com) — Redlands leaders are backing a ban on new large warehouses but postponed final approval while they rewrite rules for how existing facilities can expand or modernize. The council wants any added height or truck docks to show clear environmental benefits, and residents are pressing officials to close potential loopholes that could still increase truck traffic in town.
3. How to donate excess fruit in Redlands (communityforwardredlands.com) — If your Redlands fruit trees produce more than you can use, volunteers from Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino will come harvest the extras and route them to local food programs. The group aims to raise $150,000 to support shelters, meals, job training, and other services, and invites locals to donate, volunteer as bell ringers, or seek help via a listed phone number.
5. Operation Consequences Nets 11 Felony Arrests and Eight Firearms Across San Bernardino County (crimevoice.com) — Redlands was one of several cities targeted in a recent weeklong phase of Operation Consequences, a San Bernardino County crime-suppression effort that led to 11 felony arrests and the seizure of eight firearms, including ghost guns. Sheriff's investigators and partner agencies focused on gang members and people barred from owning guns, and say similar operations will continue in coming months.
