REDLANDS, CA — Caltrans crews have completed a sidewalk improvement project aimed at making pedestrian travel more accessible along Lugonia Avenue near the 210 Freeway in Redlands, the agency said.
The project focused on the Lugonia Avenue undercrossing and improved access along the stretch of Lugonia Avenue between Tennessee Avenue and Citrus Plaza Drive, according to Caltrans.
As part of the work, Caltrans installed an accessible crosswalk at the southwest corner of Lugonia Avenue and added a new sidewalk along the south side of the roadway.
The improvements were designed to bring pedestrian facilities into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and provide safer, more accessible connections for people walking through the area, the agency said.
