A man was shot multiple times in Highland, and he's refusing to cooperate with authorities, police said.
The incident was reported just before midnight Wednesday, in the 7400 block of Valaria Drive, according to a statement issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
According to the agency, several people reported hearing three or four gunshots, and that someone had been hit.
"Deputies arrived and found the victim, Adrian Alvarez, sitting on the curb with a gunshot wound to his arm and lower torso," the agency said in their statement. "Alvarez was uncooperative with deputies."
Even though the 20-year-old Highland resident wasn't cooperating with deputies, they were able to find the nearby crime scene "...and recovered evidence, along with methamphetamine packaged for sales," sheriff's officials reported.
The investigation is ongoing and deputies are asking anyone with information to contact the Highland Police Station at (909) 425-979 or anonymously through WeTip at 1-800-78-CRIME.
