UPDATED: Threats Reported at Loma Linda Hospital, Grand Terrace High School

The school and medical facility are both located in San Bernardino County.

Update 12:00 p.m.:

Sheriff’s officials have determined that a bomb threat made at Loma Linda University Medical Center was also found to be false.

β€œSearch of the LLUMC Hospital is cleared,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Robert O’Brine said on Twitter. β€œNothing suspicious has been found. Investigation into the threat initiated.”

Update 11:56 a.m.:

The sheriff’s department has ruled a bomb threat at Grand Terrace High School to be a hoax, according to officials.

District officials say students are now returning to class.

Loma Linda, CA: Officials are investigating bomb threats that were made this morning at a San Bernardino County medical center and high school, hospital and district officials report.

The district posted on Facebook:

This morning Grand Terrace High School received a threat. All students on campus have been evacuated to the athletic fields and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is on campus investigating. All of the students are safe at this time as we continue to work with law enforcement to resolve the situation. Please contact the Communications Office at (909) 580-6502 if you have further questions or concerns.

A Loma Linda University Health Care representative confirmed to Patch that a bomb threat was also received there.

Briana Pastorino says the following message was sent to all staff and students.

β€œAs a precaution, the CODE YELLOW has been extended to all LLUH. Code yellow protocol for a bomb threat is to be aware of any suspicious activity and report anything to security until you are advised to do otherwise.”

Sheriff’s officials confirm to Patch that they are on scene at both locations. Deputies say they are searching the hospital and school now.

β€œA floor by floor/room to room search is being conducted by deputies & bomb dogs,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Robert O’Brine said on Twitter at 11:35 a.m.

β€œDeputies & Security Staff are clearing the main portion of the hospital now,” he said at 11:39 a.m.
