Bonnes Meres to Host Annual Holiday Luncheon and Auction to Benefit Children's Fund of San Bernardino

Annual Event Raises Funds to Provide Necessities and Support Services to Underserved Children in San Bernardino County

SAN BERNARDINO, CA – October 18, 2017 – Bonnes Meres of Redlands will start the holiday season of giving with its annual luncheon and auction to benefit Children’s Fund, a nonprofit providing support, opportunity, and hope for children in the community, on November 8, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino.

For more than 30 years, Children's Fund has assisted more than 1.4 million children by providing essential services and resources to our region's most vulnerable. The funds generated from the annual luncheon and auction will benefit emergency assistance programs that provide food, clothing, beds, shelter, transportation, medical and dental care, counseling, holiday gifts, and much more to underserved children.

Proceeds also support specific initiatives such as backpacks filled with school supplies for children, graduation packages for high school seniors that include a student’s cap, gown, yearbook, and an opportunity to attend their senior trip. Funding also goes towards scholarship opportunities for foster children to pursue a higher education and support services to ensure graduation.

“The holidays are centered around giving and this annual event is a chance to support at-risk children in our community,” said Reanna Bullard, Bonnes Meres auction co-chair. “Through the generosity of our donors, the Bonnes Meres Auxiliary has been able to give more than $1.7 million over the last 25 years to advance the mission of Children’s Fund.”
