A memorial service will be held for Sanders McDougall, a Cal State San Bernardino professor of psychology, who passed away on Sept. 29, after suffering a massive heart attack.

The service will be held on Friday, Oct. 29, from 4-6 p.m. at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy for the McDougall family may be shared at the Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary website

McDougall joined CSUSB in 1991 as an assistant professor in the psychology department, earning tenure in 1995.  He was a consummate educator, dedicated to his students, the department and his research. Most recently, he served as the program director of the Undergraduate Research Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (U-RISE), which is aimed at increasing the diversity of students earning their bachelor’s degrees and moving on to complete research-focused, biomedical advanced degrees.

McDougall is survived by his spouse, CSUSB psychology professor Cynthia Crawford and their family.
