“A Sentimental Journey” features eight Southern California cantors and the temple’s choir singing heart-warming songs of George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Richard Rodgers, Stephen Sondheim and others. The Klezmer-Gypsy band, Mostly Kosher, will add their rhythmic energy to the evening. Dipping back into the 1920’ and flying forward a hundred years, they will propel everyone into moods of love, longing, and delight.
The fabulous singers are the temple’s Cantor, Jennifer Bern-Vogel, and Cantors Shana Chandler-Leon, Rebekah Mirsky, Judy Sofer, Elliot Levine, Juval Porat, as well as Alan Scott and Andrew E. Henry. The choir is led by Jerry Ripley. Violinist Janice Mautner Markham, drummer Eric Hagstrom, and bassist Adam Levy create the wonderful sounds of Mostly Kosher.
