CSUSB business college receives ‘Superior Chapter’ recognition from Beta Alpha Psi

Beta Alpha Psi has awarded its highest recognition of "Superior Chapter" to the Iota Eta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi at CSUSB.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- Beta Alpha Psi, the international honor and service organization for accounting, finance and information systems students, has awarded its highest recognition of “Superior Chapter” to the Iota Eta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi at California State University, San Bernardino.

Recognition as “Superior Chapter” is a significant accomplishment, as it requires chapters to exceed baseline requirements of service, academics, professionalism and leadership.

“This is a testament to professor Janet Courts’ dedication and support of the accounting, finance and information systems students at Cal State San Bernardino,” said Lawrence Rose, dean of the CSUSB College of Business and Public Administration. “We are extremely proud of professor Courts and the students of Beta Alpha Psi for winning this prestigious distinction.”

Currently, there are 295 participating chapters and 17,000 active members in Beta Alpha Psi worldwide.

Beta Alpha Psi, the premier honor society for accounting, finance and information students since 1911, is only open to students who attend academic institutions that are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) or Equis. The College of Business and Public Administration at Cal State San Bernardino is accredited by AACSB.

The College of Business and Public Administration at Cal State San Bernardino is a fully accredited professional school serving approximately 3,300 undergraduate and graduate students from around the world, and includes five departments: accounting and finance, marketing, management, information decision sciences and public administration.
