How to Start Your Small Business

The City of San Bernardino Office of Business Development is hosting a workshop on starting a business from 9 to 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 24. The workshop will be hosted at the Office of Business Development, 201-B N. E. Street, Suite 200, in San Bernardino.

The workshop, hosted in conjunction with the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center, covers the basics of starting a small business and will discuss low-cost business resources. The seminar will also focus on issues such as licensing and permits, business planning and small business financing.

"The number of new businesses created has increased over the last few years, as laid-off employees have decided to create their own jobs," said Lori Tillery, economic development manager. "This seminar is a great resource for anyone who has recently started a business, or is thinking of striking out on their own."
