Mexican Heritage Celebration

Inland Mexican Heritage will present several upcoming events to commemorate the stories and contributions of Mexican Americans to the history of Inland Southern California.

On Sunday, August 26 from 10am to Noon Community Presbyterian Church 320 W. Union Avenue in Redlands will be the site of a Mexican Heritage Celebration. The historic church celebrates its centennial in 2013 and plays a significant role in the history of Redlands’ Mexican American community.

Guests are encouraged to bring photos or other materials about the church and congregation or the neighborhood around Union Avenue and Webster Street to share. A.G. Vasquez, a descendant of church founders, will speak to the congregation during the 10:00am service and sign copies of Mexican Americans in Redlands in the Church Hall from 11:00 to Noon. A photo and memorabilia exhibit will be on display.
