Public Works Day

Celebrate National Public Works Week with San Bernardino County’s Department of Public Works
• Create a glider
• Build a toothpick bridge
• Demonstrations, displays, and equipment:
– enviroscape with Environmental Management
– explore with the storm drain robot
– recycle with Solid Waste Management
– find yourself with the County Surveyor
• Photo ops with a giant snowblower!

Started by the American Public Works Association in 1960, National Public Works Week is a celebration of the tens of thousands of men and women in North America who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services collectively known as Public Works. APWA’s theme this year is “Public Works: creating a lasting impression.”
All activities are included
with paid museum admission. Museum admission: $8 (adult), $6 (senior/student), $5 (student), $4 (child 5-12). Under 5 and Museum Association members free.
