Loma Linda Fire Station 1 to Host Unveiling of 9/11 Memorial Monument
A ceremony is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 11, 2012, in front of Loma Linda Fire Station 1, 11325 Loma Linda Drive.

Next week on Sept. 11, the Loma Linda Fire Department plans to unveil a permanent 9/11 Memorial Monument which contains a steel artifact recovered from the devastation at Ground Zero in New York City.
A ceremony is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 11, 2012, in front of Loma Linda Fire Station 1, 11325 Loma Linda Drive.
"September 11, 2001, was a day that changed the way of life for all Americans forever," Nate Boucher of the Loma Linda Fire Department said in a news release.

"Now it's a day that communities in cities across our Country gather in remembrance and honor of the thousands of lives that were lost in the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon or on United flight 93," Boucher said.
The ceremony this Sept. 11 will include fire and law enforcement honor guards, pipes and drums, representatives from military service branches, and speakers' comments, Boucher said.
