Man Barricades Self in Redlands Home, Prompting Police Response, Area Closures: Authorities

REDLANDS, CA – A man wanted in connection to a domestic violence investigation was briefly holed up in a Redlands home Wednesday afternoon, while police tried to coax him out, police tell Patch.

According to Redlands Police Spokesman Carl Baker, the incident was first reported around 10 a.m. in the area of Kansas and Parker.

"It's a domestic violence suspect," he said, adding that the man first ran from police when they tried to contact him earlier.

From there, police surrounded the Kansas Street location. Baker says the immediate area was blocked off from the public entering.

However, by 12:45 p.m., it appeared police had made contact with the man, and he was surrendering, according to Baker.
