SAN BERNARDINO, CALIF.-Β The Mighty Joaquins may be locals, but they sure arenβt a bunch of California country cowboys at heart.
On July 9, The Mighty Joaquins will bring the sweet sounds of Nashville to San Bernardino as the band performs original country, modern country, and country rock in the styles of Jeff Lynn, Tom Petty and George Harrison. The band is unlike many country artists today, and according to bassist Eric Scott Williams, they arenβt out to beat listeners over the head with how country they are.
The groupβsΒ record, Highway Down, measures up to anything coming out of Nashville, and was produced by Ryan Williams, who has engineered hit records from artists such as Nathanson, Paramore, Dhani Harrison, Kelly Clarkson and Biffy Clyro. The music of the Mighty Joaquins is, in their own words, sure to be βpure ear candy.β
