Motorcyclist Killed in Freeway Crash Identified

A motorcyclist killed in a multi-vehicle wreck on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Jurupa Valley was identified today as an 18-year-old Riverside man.

Marvin Villegas was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a truck about 4:15 p.m. Monday on the eastbound 60, near Pyrite Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was ejected from his motorcycle in the accident, which involved three other vehicles whose occupants were not injured. The truck driver also was not hurt.

Paramedics pronounced Villegas dead at the scene.

CHP officers shut down three lanes of the eastbound 60 to conduct an investigation, clogging rush hour traffic for hours.
