Prospective CSUSB students invited to campus open house events

Prospective CSUSB students and their parents are invited to the annual open house events Oct. 19 in San Bernardino and Nov. 9 in Palm Desert. Both events are free.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. --Β High school seniors, community college students and others interested in making Cal State San Bernardino their future college choice are invited to get a first-hand preview of the university, meet faculty and staff members, tour the campus and talk with admissions counselors at CSUSB’s annual open house on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Potential CSUSB students, their families and the community are invited to learn about the university, its academic and student life programs, financial aid opportunities, and to meet with faculty from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on campus in the Santos Manuel Student Union. Those planning to attend should RSVP by Monday, Oct. 14.

A separate open house event will be held at Cal State San Bernardino’s Palm Desert Campus on Saturday, Nov. 9. Those attending the Palm Desert Campus open house should RSVP by Monday, Oct. 28.

The open house will be held during the California State University system’s priority application period, which runs from Oct. 1 through Nov. 30. Students interested in attending Cal State San Bernardino must apply during this period to be considered for fall 2014 admission.

Guests to the CSUSB open house will have the opportunity to meet with faculty from the university’s five academic colleges and interact with representatives from various campus offices, including financial aid, student housing, student leadership and development and other student support programs.

In addition, attendees can take tours of the campus, meet with representatives from student clubs and organizations on campus and visit with current CSUSB students.

There also will be workshops on how to fill out applications to the university.
