Redlands Fire Department To Offer 2-Day Ham Radio Licensing Course

The training will prepare participants for the Federal Communications Commission's Technician Class license exam, the city said.

REDLANDS, CA — The Redlands Fire Department will offer a two-day ham radio technician course in November to help residents earn a federal radio license and develop emergency communication skills, the city announced on Monday.

The course is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 14 and Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Flores Senior Center, 111 W. Lugonia Avenue, according to the city.

The training will prepare participants for the Federal Communications Commission's Technician Class license exam. The city said the course is intended to help build a reliable community communication network that can be used during emergencies.
