A motorcyclist was riding up South San Mateo Street when he struck a stone wall and was fatally injured Thursday near Smiley Heights in Redlands, according to the coroner.
The deceased was identified as Kelly Alan King, a 49-year-old resident of Redlands.
At 2:38 p.m. Aug. 29, King was riding south on San Mateo and at the intersection with Crescent the motorcycle struck a stone wall on the south side of the roadway, coroner's personnel said in a statement.
Paramedics responded and pronounced King dead of his injuries. Redlands police were investigating.
