Redlands PD Hosting ‘Chief’s Town Hall’

Chief of Police Christopher Catren will discuss issues of local law enforcement and current crime trends and answer the public's questions.

From The City of Redlands: Redlands Chief of Police Christopher R. Catren will discuss issues of local law enforcement and current crime trends and answer questions from the public during a town hall meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the Ayres Hotel Conference Room, at 1015 W. Colton Ave. All are welcome and there is no cost to attend.

In addition to answering questions from the audience, Chief Catren will also take questions live via the Redlands Police Department’s Facebook page atwww.Facebook.com/RedlandsPoliceDepartment. Questions will be answered live online as time permits.

Regular Town Hall meetings are part of the Redlands Police Department’s efforts to promote citizen involvement, in keeping with the City of Redlands’ commitment to transparency in every aspect of City government. By taking questions via Facebook the department also hopes to accommodate residents and address concerns of those who have other commitments or obligations but wish to have specific questions answered.

Anyone with information regarding crime or suspicious activity is asked to contact Redlands Police Dispatch at (909) 798-7681 ext. 1. Certain non-emergency crimes may also be reported online using the Redlands Police Department’s CopLogic reporting system at cityofredlands.org/police/report. Suspicious activity and tips can be reported using the Redlands Police Department mobile app available for android, iPhones and iPads.
