STEAM Saturday's Monster Mash Program Kicks Off In Redlands Oct. 10

The family-oriented program takes place on Saturdays this month, starting Oct. 10.

REDLANDS, CA — The San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands is bringing monster-themed creativity to its STEAM Lab throughout October with its annual STEAM Saturdays: Monster Mash program.

The family-oriented program runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays this month, starting Oct. 10. Young learners can create clothespin, coffee-filter and paper-bag monsters, along with a watercolor spider-web craft. On Halloween, participants can also make Frankenstein-themed fork paintings.

The museum says the hands-on activities are designed to encourage curiosity about paleontology, fossils and prehistoric life while supporting early learning through play and creativity. Activities are included with general admission, although timed entry is in effect for the STEAM Lab and wristbands are available at Guest Services.
