• Redondo Moves Forward With Seaside Lagoon Overhaul (patch.com) — Redondo Beach is finally pushing its long-discussed Seaside Lagoon overhaul toward the California Coastal Commission, opting to advance a $9.47 million rehabilitation plan instead of delaying for a competing wave-pool concept. The project would replace the aging saltwater system with a modern recirculating lagoon, new play features and upgraded park amenities, marking the closest the city has come to construction in roughly two decades of debate.
   

• Impulse Space Raises Another $308M Amid Major Redondo Beach Expansion (patch.com) — Redondo Beach residents are seeing a major boost in local aerospace activity as Impulse Space secures another $308 million and expands into a 250,000-square-foot facility on Manhattan Beach Boulevard. The company now counts about 500 local employees, plans up to 200 more roles, and has city-approved construction underway, reinforcing Redondo Beach's status as a key aerospace hub.
   

• Redondo Beach Audit Finds 'Material Weakness' Over Years-Old Accounting Errors (patch.com) — Redondo Beach's latest draft audit found a "material weakness" in the city's internal financial controls after staff uncovered years‑old accounting errors, but auditors still issued a clean opinion on the city's 2024‑25 financial statements. City finance leaders say no money was lost, several long‑standing issues have been corrected, and new staff and procedures are being put in place as the Audit Committee and City Council review the report this week.
