Last night City Council approved putting the CenterCal Harbor Mall project to a non-binding vote of the residents of Redondo in the upcoming election. The vote was 3 to 2 with Ginsburg and Aust dissenting.
Mayor Aspel vetoed putting the controversial project to a vote of the people.
This is the biggest waterfront development since the pier was rebuilt. And we got to vote on that in 1990. Why would Aspel veto a vote? Perhaps he knows it would lose....
