Book the Date: North Branch Reopens Sept. 28
Construction's running slightly behind on the $6.4 million project.
Redondo Beach will go back to being a two-library town on Sept. 28.

Construction is running slightly behind – it was supposed to be completed last month – but Scully said the $6.4 million project is coming in under budget.

The new building measures 12,000 square feet, with more than 9,000 of that dedicated to the library.
The new building replaces a cramped library a fraction of the size on the same block. Built in 1949, it closed on Jan. 31, 2009.
