Esperanza Gallery At Redondo Beach Pier Closes After 5 Years

REDONDO BEACH, CA — There's now one less business on the Redondo Beach Pier.

Esperanza Gallery, which had been located on the pier plaza for the past five years, liquidated its inventory of art, supplies and equipment at the end of March.

The business has permanently shuttered its physical location in order to "fulfill a new mission," the owners said.

"We are not ending our work; we are evolving. We are officially pivoting our mission to provide scholarship opportunities for art students throughout the South Bay," the business explained in a note on its website.

"Help us support the next generation of local creators as we move from a physical gallery to a community-focused foundation."
