Cancer Survivors Day Celebration (Reservations Required)

Cancer survivors, family members and friends will gather in the Torrance Memorial Medical Center Health Conference Center on June 6 to celebrate the gift of life in honor of National Cancer Survivors Day. This year’s keynote speaker is Mary Marcdante, a stress management and communications expert, and author of “My Mother, My Friend” and “Living with Enthusiasm,” a contributing author to five best-selling “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books, and a 16-year cancer survivor. In a discussion titled, “Staying Inspired Through Challenge and Change,” she will translate the latest research on stress, positive psychology and learning into practical and powerful lifestyle strategies. She will reveal four life-changing strategies that lead to remarkable results in business, family relationships and personal performance.

The program includes a dinner at 5:30 p.m., survivor tributes at 6:30 p.m., a keynote address at 7:30 p.m. and group photos at 8:30 p.m. The celebration is free for cancer survivors and their family and friends. Space is limited and reservations are required. Call to register by Friday, June 1 at 310-517-4660.
