Join Chef Mary Ellen Rae, former recipe tester from the LA Times Food Section and owner of Personal Touch Gourmet Catering for a hands-on cooking class showcasing produce from our local farmer's markets. Bring a bottle of wine to pair with an Heirloom Tomato Tart or Farro cooked "risotto style" with fresh herbs and shrimp. During the three hour class, we will prepare four recipes while focusing on knife skills, cooking techniques and sourcing the ingredients for the best quality and price. Each student will walk away with a printed copy of the recipes and enjoy a chance to sit and enjoy the fruits of their labors.
