Floral Design on a Budget

Students learn how to make corsages and boutonnieres at a South Bay Adult School class at Redondo Union High.

Money is tight in this economy, and beauty costs. Another prom season is quickly approaching, and who wouldn't want to give a beautiful corsage to a teenage daughter dressed up like a princess for the special day?

South Bay Adult School held a floral design class Monday night at Redondo Union High School. Claudia Molter, owner of a wedding and event floral design business, taught a group of women how to make wrist corsages and boutonnieres using baby roses, dendrobium orchids and easy glue.
