One-night-only performance will feature "A Night of Spanish Romance"

The Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet (LAGQ) comes to El Camino College for a one-night-only performance that will feature “A Night of Spanish Romance.” The show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Sept. 24 in El Camino College’s Marsee Auditorium.

The quartet is comprised of four uniquely accomplished musicians: John Dearman, Matthew Greif, William Kanengiser and Scott Tennant, who will be joined on stage by a troupe of fabulous dancers from LA Flamenco and mesmerizing mezzo-soprano, Janelle DeStefano.

The performance will include: “El Baile De Luíz Alonzo” by Gerónimo Giménez, “Introduction and Fandango” by Luigi Boccherini, “La Soirée Dans Grenade” by Claude Debussy, “Carmen Suite” by Georges Bizet, “Siete Canciónes Populares Españolas” by Manuel De Falla and culminating with a dramatic production of Manuel de Falla’s ballet “El Amor Brujo.” A riveting tale of love and sorcery, this spellbinding work brings the passion of Spain’s Gypsy spirit to life.
