Grand Theft E-Bike, 50 Shoes Stolen: Redondo Beach Crime Blotter
The crime blotter covers incidents in Redondo Beach from July 21 to 27.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Redondo Beach Police Department crime blotter.
Robbery
- July 20, 2023 – 5:45 a.m. to 5:54 a.m. – 2400 block of 190th Street – According to RBPD, multiple suspects entered a store wearing ski masks and pointed guns at an employee inside. The suspects grabbed the cash register drawer and fled, authorities said. Only one suspect was described as a Black man of unknown age about 6 feet tall. The suspects were seen leaving the location in a gray 2021 Dodge Charger.
Residential Burglary
- July 21-22, 2023 - 5 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. - 1700 block of Camino de la Costa - An electric bicycle was stolen from a garage, police said. Officers believe the suspects cut the lock to the garage before entering. No suspect information was available.
- July 21-22, 2023 - 7:45 p.m. to 11 a.m. - 1200 block of Amethyst Street - A Blu-ray player, four suitcases and 50 pairs of shoes were reported stolen from a home's locked garage. No suspect information was available.
Vehicle Burglary
- July 19-20, 2023 - 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. - 1900 block of Farrell Avenue - According to RBPD, burglars attempted to steal a silver 1992 Ford F-150 but were unsuccessful. Officers said the lock on the driver's side door was damaged and the door handle was broken, but nothing was stolen.

- July 21 -27, 2023 - Redondo Beach - During the reporting period, officers said three catalytic converters were reported stolen from various locations throughout Redondo Beach.
Stolen Vehicles
- July 22-23, 2023 - 700 block of Sapphire Street - A silver and black 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 was reported stolen. The truck's license plate is 07608G3.
- July 21, 2023 - 1:05 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. - 2300 block of Vanderbilt Lane - Police said two men attempted to steal a black and silver 2005 Honda Trx450Er ATV. The suspects were seen leaving the location in a white pickup truck.
- July 18-19, 2023 - 7 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. - 2400 block of Marine Avenue - A U-Haul van was reported stolen, but was later recovered by the Los Angeles Police Department on July 24.
- July 18-19, 2023 - 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. - 400 block of South Juanita Avenue - A red and black 2022 Dodge Ram TRX was reported stolen. The truck's license plate is 18570R3.
