Help Franca Find Her Hearing Aids Lost In Redondo Beach
The 89-year-old is offering a $100 reward for the person who finds her hearing aids. Have you seen them?

REDONDO BEACH, CA – South Bay Patch readers, a community member needs your help. Franca Bannerman, 89, lost her hearing aids held in their container last Sunday in Redondo Beach, and she's offering a $100 reward to whoever can return them to her.
On Sept. 9, Bannerman visited the Redondo Beach International Boardwalk around noon to go on the fishing boat named Redondo Special. She parked in the disabled spot on the upper part of the parking lot, which is close to the bathroom, she said. Sometime between noon and 6 p.m., while she visited areas around the sport fishing and whale watching spots, she lost her hearing aids.
She wasn't wearing them, she said, but they were in a black hard plastic box that's approximately 3" long by 2" wide. The box was stored in her backpack, and she thinks they might have fallen out while she grabbed items from her backpack throughout the day.

"I do hope that a good person has found them, but doesn't know where to return them," she said. "They're special hearing aids, so they're of no use to anyone else. I am at a loss without them."
The hearing aids were made by Oticon, and they are called "TwinLink, OPN miniRITE," she said. They have a number that's registered with the manufacturer that can only be matched with her personally.
