Hit-And-Run Crash Injures Two In Torrance

A car hit a tow truck that was already helping another vehicle in a non-injury crash, and then sped away.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – A Torrance hit-and-run crash left two people injured early Monday morning, police said. The crash occurred about 3:45 a.m. on Emerald Street just west of Amie Avenue, according to Torrance police Sgt. Ronald Harris.

A vehicle became disabled in a non-injury crash, and a tow truck was sent to the scene, police said. Another vehicle then crashed into the tow truck and kept going, injuring the tow truck driver and a person in the disabled vehicle, Harris said.

The pair suffered unspecified injuries. No description was released of the hit-and-run vehicle. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police.
