REDONDO BEACH, CA -- If you've been craving some food from fast food chain Hot Dog On a Stick, but didn't want to drive out to the SouthBay Pavilion or Culver City to get some, we've got good news for you.

The fast food franchise is reopening at the Redondo Beach Pier "soon," according to the pier's official website, as well as recent social media posts.

There previously was a Hot Dog On a Stick location -- it was officially known as "Craig's Hot Dog On a Stick -- at the pier from 1962 until its closure in September 2024. The location, which was the only independently owned restaurant in the chain, closed due to the owner's retirement.

But now, the franchise is coming back to the pier, and will be located at the same address as before, 206 Fisherman’s Wharf.

The exact opening date is still to be determined, but a spokeswoman with FAT Brands, which owns Hot Dog on a Stick, confirmed that the new location will be corporate-owned, not independent.
