Man Killed In 405 Freeway Crash In Torrance
Tom Blush, 45, of Huntington Beach died at the scene about 9:45 p.m. Monday near Crenshaw Boulevard, the ME said.
TORRANCE, CA -- Authorities on Tuesday identified a man who was fatally injured when struck by a hit-and-run driver while changing a tire on the side of the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Torrance.
Tom Blush, 45, of Huntington Beach died at the scene about 9:45 p.m. Monday near Crenshaw Boulevard, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
According to the CHP, Blush was on the right shoulder, changing a tire on his Toyota Tacoma pickup, when he was struck by a vehicle -- described as possibly an Acura or a Mini Cooper -- that kept going.
