Pennie Miyahara Cappasola's son Caleb is a senior at RUHS, and started the MCJROTC program his freshman year. He's now a Company Commanding Officer, which is the top cadet, Cappasola said. The program has been life-changing for Caleb, she said.
"He has learned great leadership skills, has become more outspoken and social," she said. "He was always interested in the military, but has now decided to hopefully become a Marine after attending the U.S. Naval Academy."
