New 24-Hour Pet Emergency Room Opening in South Bay

SOUTH BAY — A new 24-hour pet emergency room that allows pet parents to stay with their pets through all stages of treatment, including surgery and overnight hospitalization, is opening in the area.

A ribbon cutting for the new VEG ER for Pets is scheduled for 11:30 am Wednesday at 25210 Crenshaw Blvd., Suite 105, in Torrance.

"Our mission has always been to help people and their pets when they need it most," VEG ER for Pets founder and CEO David Bessler said. "Opening in Torrance allows us to do exactly that."

VEG ER for Pets in Torrance is the first hospital in the South Bay, but the third hospital in Los Angeles County, following locations in Santa Monica and Santa Clarita.

Among the emergency veterinary care services offered are surgeries, ultrasounds, and x-rays.
